We agree completely with Linda Borg regarding the Stettler District Ambulance. Every time we have called 911 the response has been immediate.

I thought that the residents of this community would like to know why a ship was named for Stettler.

Dear Editor, Bill 36 can be compared to an apple with a bruise on the outside that appears OK. If the small bruise were removed from the apple, it would be eatable. But when the apple is opened up, it is rotten to the core.

Dear Editor, Oscar Wilde once said, “Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing”. These words may never be more accurate or prophetic if one employs them to describe the Alberta government’s on-going efforts to deregulate and commoditize water.

It is with extreme elation, excitement and relief that I am able to write this letter to you with regards to the dissolution study and subsequent dissolution vote to maintain the Village of Donalda as an incorporated municipality and to continue to proceed in the future as a “village” in the Province of Alberta.

I am once again writing you to update our lot saga with the (CAO) Peter Simons and the village council of Donalda. It has been almost two years since we purchased a half a lot from them.

t long last Premier Stelmach stood up to state oil and gas royalties would be adjusted to where they were two years ago. The oil and gas companies have stated once royalties are at a reasonable level, then they would gladly move back to Alberta.

First of all I wish to thank the Town of Stettler for providing and mowing the dog park. However, I don’t think that it was their intention to make it into a “toilet” for dogs.

The 2010 Winter Olympic Games are over for another four years. When Canadian athletes walked onto the ice at the opening ceremonies what a great moment for all Canadians to remember.
