Petitions collected in district for wider sleighs
• Stettler firefighters Mark Dennis and Oris Rider received Certificate of Commendation for saving a man from drowning in Buffalo Lake in 1996. Town of Stettler Mayor Keith Ryder and County of Stettler Reeve Brian Lynn presented the awards on behalf of Canadian Governor General Adrienne Clarkson.

However, Clearview still has to grapple with under-utilization, too much space for too-few students and longevity of the schools will be considered before any money is spent.
