During the month of October, RCMP Stettler detachment responded to 318 incidents (239 in Stettler - 79 in the villages and county). These totals are broken down into 99 criminal and federal investigations (78 in Stettler - 21 in the rural), and 51 collisions (18 in Stettler - 33 in the rural).

A 49-year-old County of Stettler resident was arrested on Oct. 28 along 50 Avenue in Stettler for impaired driving. He was subsequently charged for impaired driving and possession of a controlled substance, a drug, and will appear in Stettler Provincial Court on Nov. 12 to enter a plea.

Potable water in bulk in Byemoor and Endiang

Residents around Byemoor and Endiang can now dispense drinking water in bulk for price. At its regular meeting Octt. 14, County of Stettler council passed a bylaw that set the price at $3 per cubic meter which covers the cost of the water from the Henry Kroeger Water Commission at $2 per cubic meter and $1 for operational and administrative expenses.
