The Erskine Seniors Club was full of friends on Wednesday, June 22, as members gathered for their end of season lunch.

The club, located at the rear of the IOOF hall just off Highway 12, is used heavily throughout the year, whether it's for playing cards, shuffleboard, quilting, singing or more.

The roughly 50 people in attendance enjoyed pizza, ribs, cake and ice cream, as well as each other's company, in the newly renovated hall. A new coating of pale blue paint, new flooring, and other minor upgrades gave the hall, which through years of long and loved use, was looking somewhat worn, a new sense of vitality.

While the "season" may be over as the group breaks for the summer months, the hall will likely still be in use for cards and other activities, organizers said.
