When people find themselves injured, unwell, or needing assistance in day-to-day tasks to remain independent, it's the community's caregivers who come out to help.
Caregivers range from babysitters to nurses at retirement homes, but the community wouldn't be what it is without the help these men and women provide, Town of Stettler Mayor Dick Richards said, after signing a proclamation declaring it Caregivers Week.
After signing the proclamation, Richards stopped to speak one-on-one with many of the caregivers gathered at the town office, learning about them, their jobs and what they do to help those in need in the community.
