Last week was not the best of weeks for Stettler’s volleyball teams with both senior boys and girls as well as junior girls losing their games against their opponents from Camrose.
The most steadfast defense against the Camrose teams was put up by the junior girls who managed to clinch two sets, but failed to prevail in the last set on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
Junior girls’ team coach Hayley Leschert described the loss as “disappointing.”
“They played very well, but unfortunately lost 3 sets to 2,” she said.
As for senior boys and girls, both lost in straight sets 3-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Junior girls played one more home game on Monday night, Oct. 19 against Lindsay Thurber of Red Deer and lost 3-0.
Junior girls take part in a tournament in Caroline this weekend.
