Stettler Minor Ball held a home fastball tournament from June 3 to 5.
Four bantam teams, four peewee teams and seven squirt teams participated in the tournament. Unfortunately, the midget division didn’t fill up this year.
Teams came from Big Valley, Innisfail, Lacombe, Hanna, Trochu, Sundre, Ardrossan and Delburne.
The Stettler squirt team won the bronze medal.
The Stettler Sparqs won the gold medal in the peewee division, beating Delburne 22 to 16.
The Stettler bantam team won the bronze medal, winning the medal game 13 to 8 over Sundre.
Baseball
The Stettler Sliders peewee boys baseball team won the silver medal in the Rimbey Peewee Baseball tournament held on the May 28 and 29 weekend.
The Sliders beat Sylvan Lake 15 – 4 and Confederation Park 17 – 6 to get to the semi-final where they beat Lacombe 11 – 7. In the final the Sliders lost 7 – 1 to the East Central Bulls.
