Stettler Junior Rodeo Series races toward finals

The Stettler Ag. Society Junior Rodeo Series which has been running through the summer at the grounds is drawing to a close.

Running every two weeks on Tuesday evenings since July 11, the finals will take place on July 22.

The Junior Rodeo Series has featured a variety of youth rodeo events in a variety of age groups.

Events vary a little depending on the age group; all ages participate in barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, and girls goat tying while the younger groups have boys goat tying and the older group has tie-down roping.

Groups are split into ages 6-9 years old, 10-13 years old, and 11-19 years old.

For the finals on Aug. 22, the first group will get started at 3 p.m., followed by the 10-13 group at 5 p.m. The final group will start around 6 p.m.
