Although Stettler played a close match last Wednesday, Aug. 4 in Ponoka, they lost to one of their stronger opponents 2-1.
However, this did not keep them from setting up a semi-final date.
Having performed well in the other games, Stettler will face off for one final time with Ponoka on Sunday, Aug. 14 in the semi-finals.
That game will decide who advances to the finals for a chance at the Battle River Cup league championship.
"I like our chances," said Stettler captain Andrew Vanderburg. "If we are able to keep a tight defensive structure and capitalize on our offensive chances, an upset berth in the final is very possible."
