Star trick rider and liberty horse entertainer comes to Stettler

WATCH: Teaches youth in horse clinics

Professional North American trick rider and liberty horse entertainer Niki Cammaert-Flundra taught Stettler and area youth how to better connect with their horses.

The Stettler and District Agricultural Society hosted the event, where Cammaert-Flundra coached youth May 18-21. The clinics included an introduction to liberty horsemanship and a ground control clinic.

“We spent a lot of time this weekend working on some ground work exercises for more control higher level of horsemanship

and we’ve gone through quite some quite basic ones all the way to some more refined, higher level,” said Cammaert-Flundra.

In addition, there were beginner and advanced trick riding clinics.

Cammaert-Flundra is a stuntwoman for shows including Heartland, Horses of McBride and CMT’s Pet Heroes. She’s also worked on Jackie Chan’s Shanghai Noon, Rat Race and North of 60. She has performed at all major rodeos in Canada as well as in Texas, New Mexico and Colorado.

She’s married to Dustin Fundra, a rodeo star, and the couple has one child. They live and work on a ranch south of Pincher Creek.
