The Stettler Sliders posted a 2-2 record on the weekend as they earned the bronze medal in an under-16 girls’ softball tournament at Killam.
Stettler defeated Jarvie 19-14 in the third-place game Sunday, shortly after losing 11-6 to Killam.
In round-robin play Saturday, the Sliders lost 12-11 to Innisfail but beat Vermilion 11-9 in a game shortened to three innings because of heavy rain.
Stettler bolstered its lineup for the weekend, adding peewee players Sophie Shepherd, Jessie Squires and Olivia Zuk.
