The dust has settled on the Taste the Dust Pro Tour chuckwagon stop in Bashaw.
After three days of racing, held in conjunction with Bashaw’s Hometown Days Aug. 26 to 28, Barb Salmond was the high-point driver for the weekend.
Salmond maintained clean runs on all three days of racing and managed two second place finishes and a fourth, earning top spot with 95 points.
Placing second for the weekend was sixth-heat mate Cole Adamson, who took a first, a third and a sixth place finish, earning 92 points.
Rounding out the top three in chuckwagons was Lee Adamson, earning two first place finishes and a sixth place, earning him a total of 93 points.
Over in the chariots, Lee Adamson was the first-overall winner with two first-place finishes and a third earning him 98 points.
Second place went to fourth-heat driver Kolten Thiel, who drove to three consistent second-place finishes which earned him 96 points for the weekend.
Rounding out the top three in the chariots was another heat-four driver, Cole Adamson. Cole drove to a first and two third-place finishes, earning him 94 points.
After the weekend of driving, Lee Adamson is holding the top spot in the chuckwagon standings for the Taste the Dust Tour. Fellow weekend competitor Kolton Thiel sits in the fifth position with 577 points while Cole Adamson occupies the sixth position in the standings with 564. Barb Salmond currently sits in the 23rd position in the standings with 337 points.
In the chariots, Cole Adamson securely holds first place with 657 points, while Lee Adamson sits in a secure second with 590 points. Thiel sits at ninth place with 458 points.
