The Stettler Panthers played a great game and held off the Steelers, even though they lost their final game of the season, thereby losing the championship 30-20 on Saturday, Nov. 5.

"The Panthers were hoping to feed off Cougars' earlier success and give Stettler two championships on the same day but it was not to be," said Head Coach Ernie Shirreff. "The Red Deer Steelers scored on their opening play and never looked back."

Stettler trailed 18-6 after the first quarter and despite playing better for the rest of the game never got to within striking distance losing by a score of 30-20.

Kyle Dennis, Cole Baird and Carter Kranzler scored Stettler's three touchdowns.
