The Stettler FCSS is starting an adult volleyball fun league through the Adult Learning program.

The fun league will start on Jan. 24 at the gym of the Christ-King Catholic School and end on March 28. The games will start at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. It will cost $50 to register with the fun league.

“There were people in the community that were interested in playing volleyball that maybe didn’t fit the criteria of the adult competitive league already in place,” said Stephanie Hadley, coordinator at the Stettler and District Volunteer Centre.

“We had heard of a need in the community, so Adult Learning decided to put together a fun league so that there would be something for everybody.”

All adult men and women are welcome to join regardless of their volleyball skill levels.

Players should bring running shoes, comfortable bottoms such as shorts or jogging pants, and light and dark t-shirts, as the t-shirts will indicate the team.

Adult Learning hopes to get at least 15 players to kick off the season. If the volleyball fun league is a success, Adult Learning might look into starting fun leagues in other sports.
