Jeff Lee of Stettler Minor Ball Association said there was no ground for predictions that Stettler community was losing its appetite for baseball and minor ball.

“We have as many minor ball teams as Camrose, which is twice the population of Stettler,” Lee said in reference to the popularity of the sport in town.

He said they were still waiting for the game schedules to be produced to start playing for the travelling teams.

According to the local schedule, two girls’ mite teams will be playing at the Parkdale diamond on Mondays and Wednesdays while two girls’ squirts teams use the same diamond to play on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
