Stettler defeated the visiting Provost Blades 3-1 on Sunday in Game 1 of their best-of-three series.

Stettler scored two and a half minutes into the game on a power-play goal from Jayden Hogg.

Jennifer Hallett and Kierra Scollo also scored for Stettler, and Lindsey McKinnon made 26 saves.

The teams are scheduled to face off Thursday in Provost, with a possible third game set for Stettler on Friday.
