The Heat Up the Heartland barrel racing series hosted by the Stettler Agricultural Society has raced past the finish line for the 2022 season.
Since the fall, competitors have been racing a couple times a month.
While not an Alberta Barrel Racing Association of Alberta (ABRA) sanctioned event, the series has provided a way for the competitors to keep on top of their training during the off season.
In order to win cash prizes in the finals, competitors must have raced at two previous events in the series.
The fastest time of the night went to Aubrey Ross and her horse who ran the cloverleaf in a blistering 13.744 seconds.
Debbie Hidebrandt had the second fastest time of the night, with a time of 13.956 seconds.
Rounding out the top three times of the evening was Jayme Lillico who completed the cloverleaf in 14.070 seconds.
Around 20 competitors took part in the final night of racing.
