The day started with wild pony races, in which none of the teams, made up of youngsters, could manage to score a time, but both the kids and the spectators had a lot of fun, with the help of the Bull-a-rama clown.

When the real action started late afternoon, the crowd was awarded with great bull riding scenes, but by only less than half of the 33 riders who managed to score a time.

Cody Stamp, Cody Antoine, Miles Pennington, Wacey Finkbeiner, Jesse Anton, Brett Brandon, Dusty Lehman and Len Lefabvre made it into final round at the end of exciting competition.

One of the leading names of the bull riding world, Ashton Arychuck, was eliminated in the first round.

After an equine acrobatic show by Graham sisters and a rare demonstration of jousting, the medieval sport practised by knights in full armour, the final round of bull riding was staged as the last part of the day’s events.

In the final round, Wacey Finkbeiner of Ponoka won the competition and took home a cheque of about $6,000.

The evening ended with the crowd dancing to the music of the Tradesmen band.
