Golf league playoffs wind up, Tombstone and Scramble events to close the season

League playoffs have wrapped up for both ladies and men. Ladies’ night will remain as Tuesdays and Men’s as Wednesdays, just will not track for any league stats.

Men’s League Playoffs wrapped up also on Sept. 16. Men’s Playoff winners are as follows

Playoff consolation winners- Team Reichert-Captain Rod Reichert, Tim Bell, Ron Duncan, Dick Hamilton, Jason Hegberg, Brent Jackson, Jim Milne, Ernie Sherriff, Ryan Stratulate, Ken Stromm, Neil Thorogood, Al Watson, Neil Whatley.

Men’s League team winners are Team Garbutt- Captain Ken Garbutt, Charley Bird, Art Costigan, Willam Gazem, Orest Holubetz, Al Lagore, Steve McCrindle, Scott Pinder, Gord Regwell, Dick Richards, Scott Roberts, Rob Stoutenberg.

Club championships took place this past weekend. We had a smaller turn out, but great golf was played. Men’s champion is Shawn Schwartz and Ladies’ is Heather Jobs. Congrats to you.

Our Brian Klatt Tournament play wrapped up also and the following were winners:

Glen Kamlah (Welder) and Gord Meilke (Milkman) defeated Dennis Becklund and Steve (Woody) McCrindle to win 1st and 2nd on the championship side. Scott Pinder and Bob Smith defeated Tom Campbell and Tim Bell to win the consolation side. Congrats to all golfers.

Club Tournaments upcoming are the Tombstone on Oct. 3 – bring your best costume and “tombstone” for the fun of it- and Closing Scramble on October 10.

We will be hosting an awards night on Saturday Oct. 17 with cocktails and supper with awards and appreciations to follow.
