Eleven teams saddled up for Stettler’s Ranch Rodeo

Stettler’s Ranch Rodeo kept the rodeo community of Stettler and area busy on Sunday morning, Feb. 19.

Stettler’s Ranch Rodeo kept the rodeo community of Stettler and area busy as the Exhibition grounds filled up on Sunday morning, Feb. 19 with horses, trailers and vehicles of participants and spectators.

An annual fixture, the 2017 Stettler and District Agricultural Society Ranch Rodeo had 11 participating teams of four members each, with at least one female on each team Rafter JB, Do It Again Gang Ranch, So Ranch, Diamond N Ranch, Lori’s Leather and Repair, Wakefield Ranch, R Square Ranch, Roworth Ranch, Kicking A Ranch, Adams Farms and Riverbend Ranch.

The teams had to take part in all the five events team penning, team sorting, cattle rustling, branding and team doctoring and at the end, the one with the highest points would be declared champions.

Kicking A Ranch with Christy Comte, Ricky Andersen, Cody Andersen and Terry Andersen were declared winners in the end and were presented with buckles.
