Castor Curling hosts ladies' bonspiel

Castor

The Castor Curling Club was busy over the Jan. 17-19 weekend.

A dozen women's teams, the furthest from as far away as Edmonton, descended on Castor for the club's annual Ladies Bonspiel.

The bonspiel got underway on Friday evening and wrapped on Sunday, with the Stettler-based C. Erichsen rink winning the 'A' event, the Castor-based C. Smith rink winning the 'B' event, and the Castor/Red Deer M. Hagerty rink winning the 'C' event.

Tammy Cooke of The Stuffed Potato Co. operated the concession all weekend.
