VIDEO: Bashaw Community Theatre presents Moana Junior

The show is coming to Stettler Oct. 28, 29 and 30

The Bashaw Community Theatre gave their opening night performance of Disney’s Moana Junior and Friends on Oct. 14, at the Bashaw United Church.

Moana Junior is a condensed, stage adaptation of the animated movie ‘Moana’ developed especially for young performers.

The original movie was based on the beliefs and cultures of the people of the Pacific Islands and was developed in collaboration with an Oceanic Trust. The same respect and attention to detail that was used in the development of the movie was used in the stage adaptation, states the program.

The adult members of the theatre group opened the show, singing a total of 10 musical numbers - nine from popular Disney movies and one from the Prince of Egypt, which is a DreamWorks movie.

The show is also being performed in Stettler on Oct. 28, 29 and 30. Tickets are available at www.bashawtheatre.com.
