It is with a heavy heart that I speak on the passing of RCMP Staff Sgt. Bruce Holliday.

Staff Sgt. Holliday exemplified professionalism and community service, being posted in Stettler and prior to that in Bashaw, and this region benefited from his leadership. He worked to break down barriers between the community and police as well as playing an essential role to build community wellness programming.

I have the utmost respect for Staff Sgt. Holliday and the inspiring work he did as a policeman and involved member of the community.

Danielle and I wish to share our deepest condolences to Staff Sgt. Holliday’s family and loved ones, as well as his police colleagues and the hundreds of lives he touched while serving with the RCMP. Our prayers are with you during this time of grief.
