Byemoor/Endiang news

News for the week of Feb. 28

Endmoor Minor Ball Association is looking for players of all ages for the 2022 season.

Registrations are due by March 11 and can be found on the Byemoor Endiang Bulletin on Facebook posted by Kary Lyn Keith.

Registrations can be emailed to endmoorminorball@gmail.com.

For more information contact Kary Lyn Keith via Facebook.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Mavis Birkhiem of Sylvan Lake who passed away on Feb. 19 at the age of 81 years.

Mavis and her late husband Walter were long-time residents of the Byemoor community.

They farmed west of Byemoor for many years before retiring in the hamlet of Byemoor.

Walter and Mavis raised a family of three – James, Janice and Kathy.

Mavis was an active member of the Endmoor Royal Purple, until the club disbanded.

Our thoughts are with Mavis’ children, grandchildren, other relatives and friends in their loss.

Congratulations to Jesse Jack, captain of the Olds Broncos women’s hockey team, on becoming the All Time Leading Scorer of the team.

Jesse accomplished this in nine less games than the previous record holder.

Her point per game scoring pace has her tied for second in the league.

Humour for the day —

“I made a huge “To Do” list for today. I just can’t figure out who’s going to do it.”

“Good moms let you lick the beaters. Great moms turn them off first.”

“What has four wheels and flies? A garbage truck.”

“An apple a day really can keep the doctor away, but only if you aim it well.”
