WIGLEY, Bill

William Henry "Bill" Wigley passed away on May 10, 2012 at the Lacombe Hospital at the age of 91 years. Bill was born in Castor, Alberta on December 31, 1920 and grew up in the Castor area. He married Mabel Herzog on November 17, 1940. To this union six children were born. Bill and Mabel lived and worked in the Stettler area for many years. While working for the Alberta Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, they moved to various places in Alberta. Bill was the pastor of several Churches and worked in the Conference Office and at Foothills Camp. He retired in Olds and later moved to Lacombe. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Rose; two sisters, Lucy and Grace; four brothers, Charlie, Fred, George and Richard; his daughter, Ona and his son, Bill Jr. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 71 years, Mabel of Lacombe; daughter, Joy of Lacombe; daughter Star of Red Deer; son, Roy (Marianne) of Airdrie; and daughter, Bunnie of Red Deer; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; eight great- great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty; numerous nieces and nephews and their families as well as many friends. The Interment took place in the family plot at the Erskine Cemetery on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. at the College Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lacombe. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to A Better World (a-better-world.ca) or ADRA Canada (adra.ca).
