1921-2010
Surrounded by his loving family, Wes peacefully entered his Eternal Home on October 8, 2010 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marj, of 57 years in April 2010. He will be deeply missed by his children; Gloria (Ron) Vollmin, Stan (Gail) Strome, Dolores (Jim) Bates, Gary Strome, Peggy (Jim) Wright, Sharyn Melo, Vera (John) Lucas, Mervin (Delphine) Strome as well as 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He will also be remembered by Hazel Annett, Elsina Strome, Dora Morasch, Vi (Harold) Collins, Ernie Strome (Earleen Greene), Danny (Elda) Strome, Beatrice (Victor) Tschritter, Ruby (Dave) Lopetinski, Joyce Strome, Jim Bedson, Catherine Siebold, Myfy Bowen, Stan (Alma) Bowen, Dilys (Billy) Schaffner, Violet (Grant) Baird, Helen Bowen, Yvette Bowen and numerous other family members. Dad was a man of integrity. He worked hard to provide for his family and was always willing to help anyone in need. A celebration of Wes' life will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Roads Church (38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer County), with Pastor Stu Krogman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Wes' honour may be made directly to the Alzheimers Society, 104, 10335 172 Street, Edmonton Alberta, T5S 1K9 or to the charity of one's choice.
