Mr. Tony Checkel of Castor, Alberta passed away on December 19, 2009 at his home at the age of 80 years. Tony was born to Mike and Zena Checkel on April 19, 1929, one of a large family, south of Fleet. Tony was predeceased by his parents Mike and Zena; brothers Ed and Bill; sisters Lil, Annie, Mary and Tina. He is survived by his remaining brothers Mike and Phillip; sisters in law Alice, Jean, Faith and Betty; numerous nieces, nephews and good friends. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Tony's life will be held this summer on the family farm.
