HUGHES, Stanley Beavan
Mr. Stan Hughes passed away peacefully in Stettler on October 2, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Stan was born in Castor, Alberta on November 7, 1927 to parents, Eileen Victoria Eugenia (Adams) and Leslie Beaven Hughes.
Stan moved to Calgary at a young age and worked for the Royal Bank of Canada all of his working years. One of his greatest passions was old cars; he was proud of owning some fine automobiles and spent many hours devoted to this hobby. Stan led a quiet and peaceful life in the city that he loved dearly. Due to failing health, Stan moved to Stettler to be near friends.
Stan Hughes is survived by the Choriatis family of Stettler; he was predeceased by his parents and on April 2, 2010 by his brother, Richard Beavan Hughes.
At Stan's request no formal funeral service will be held.
