Shirley Marie Dhenin

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Shirley Marie Dhenin on June 2, 2012 in her Red Deer home at the age of 64. Shirley was born to parents Joe and Tillie Fisher on Jan 20, 1948 in Melfort, SK and moved at age three to Red Willow, AB where she grew up. She spent most of her life working for the CIBC in Donalda, and as an entrepreneur in various business ventures with partner Ernie Dhenin. Shirley moved to Red Deer in 1994. At the time of her passing she was employed by George's Farm Centre. Shirley loved working with George and the staff which she often referred to as her second family. Shirley's passion was clearly her family and especially her grandchildren. Always happiest when surrounded by family, Shirley loved to host family get-togethers and was well known for her turkey and dressing. She also loved the outdoors, her dogs and was very proud and fascinated by her Métis heritage. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her special companion Murray, children Ken Fisher, Lisa Mueller, Lori (Dean) Hoffensetz, grandchildren Theresa and Gregory Fisher, Travis and Derek Mueller, Devon, Janelle and Nathaniel Hoffensetz and great grandchild Landon, niece Maureen (Russel) Bugera, as well as many other family and friends. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Joe and Tillie Fisher, sister Lorraine Heath, and son-in-law Norbert Mueller. Funeral services were held at the Brennen Funeral Home Chapel in Stettler on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Susan Bowyer officiating. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Shirley, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the Red Willow Cemetery in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services P.O.
