In loving memory ~
Ruth Ella Magee (née Lindemann), 91, passed away on January 18 in Stettler.
Ruth was born in Veteran, AB to Emma and Jacob Lindemann on December 11, 1931. She attended school in Veteran, where she particularly excelled in English and developed a lifelong love for writing and grammar. She had many jobs including work at the Colour Centre, IDA, Jim Walker's, the post office, the Stettler Independent, and the greenhouse. She also volunteered with the Pink Ladies and at the United Church in Stettler. More than anything, she was a partner to Bill in building their beautiful life on the farm. Her passion for gardening and her raspberry patch will always be remembered by all who knew her. Ruth joined her grandchildren on countless adventures outdoors, always taking time to create special memories with them like downhill skiing on the driveway and cross-country on the grass! Ruth spent many years lovingly caring for many family members and friends. Her incredible dedication to caring for Bill through his prolonged illness remains an inspiration to us all. Her generosity was boundless and there was always room at her table for one more.
Ruth is predeceased by the love of her life, Bill, as well as numerous siblings.
Ruth is survived by her loving family, and children: Harry (June) Magee of Stettler, Bill Magee (Jennifer McMillan) of Edmonton, and Susan (Gerald) Vikse of Calgary.
