KRUGER
1939 ~ 2011
Mr. Ronald Frederick Kruger passed away in Stettler on August 26, 2011 at the age of 72 years. Ron was born in Stettler, Alberta on May 1, 1939 the only child to Herbert and Martha Kruger. Together the family lived on the farm which was in the Stewartwyn area. Ron attended the Stewartwyn School and then went on to complete his education at Waverly School. He was a 4-H member when he was young and later became a long time member of the Buffalo Lake Naturalists and was a volunteer with the Medicine River Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Ron had always loved the farm and always appreciated nature and his surroundings. After his father passed away in January of 1982, Ron and his mother Martha remained on the farm and he continued to operate the farm and feed the cattle until they sold that property and retired into Stettler in 1999. Ron's mother passed away in March of 2002. This was a very difficult time for Ron as he and his mom were very close. Ron persevered and continued living in his home in Stettler. His daily trips to the former neighbors out at the farm and his time visiting with old friends at the post office helped Ron to pass the days. Ron will always be warmly remembered by his dear friends Don and Ilene Bauman and their family, many cousins, other relatives and dear friends. At Ron's request, there will be no formal funeral service take place. As an expression of sympathy and in memory of Ron, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services P.O.
