COOPER

Robert Matthew

1971 - 2014

It is with deep sadness that we announce our beloved husband, dad son and brother, Mr. Robert Matthew Cooper of Blackfalds, Alberta passed away unexpectedly on January 29th, 2014 at the age of 42 years.

Rob (Robbie) is survived by his loving wife of 11 years Loretta and son Dennis of blackfalds. His parents Wayne and Pamela Cooper of Calgary, Brother, Ryan Cooper and Sister, Jennifer Brkic. He is also sadly missed by Raymond and Louise, Crystal and Larry. Robbie was also a loving uncle to Kaylee, Alex, Lilyan, Sydney, Luka and Felicia. He is forever remembered by numerous Cherished Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends and neighbors.

Rob was an avid hot wheels collector and spent many hours on eBay buying and selling. He enjoyed comparing cars with his neighbor Verne when he wasn't tinkering on his beloved 61 Comet wagon or some project he always had on the go. Rob was a decorated Boy Scout member and leader. Later he received the Duke of Edinburgh Award for volunteerism and community service. He enjoyed studying the bible, volunteering, music, antiques, sketching cars, building models of all kinds, and cruising in his mustang. He was a beautiful pianist and artist. He loved spending time in his grandpa's recliner with his dogs by his side and his cat on his lap and a good cup of coffee. He attended many car and antique shows with his son, Dad and Uncle Max. He studied sheet metal mechanics and graduated a journeyman from SAIT. He spent the last 11 years with Hawk Custom Sheet Metal in Red Deer. Ever the adventurer, Rob created many things out of sheet metal, including a sluice box to collect gold dust from Central Albertan rivers. "Coop" was always laughing, joking around and loved a good prank.
