Mr. Robert "Bob" Smitten passed away at the Red Deer Hospice surrounded by the people he loved on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the age of 58 years. Bob is survived by his wife and best friend, Denise Smitten, his daughters; Kelsi (Gerry) Del Frari of Cold Lake and Erin Smitten (Shane Quintilio) of Red Deer. Granddaughters; Kayla, Brooklynn, Kaylee and Halle and one grandson, Carter. Bob is also survived by his mother, Shirley Borgel of Stettler, mother-in-law, Erica Regehr of Edmonton, sisters; Linda (Bob) Poffenroth of Calgary, Dianne (John) Clark and Colleen Bell and one brother Mark Smitten (Sylvie Tremblay) all of Stettler, sister-in-law, Wendy Rawluk of St. Albert, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many very very dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Maurice Smitten, father-in-law, Fred Regehr, brother-in-law, Neil Regehr, nephew, Dean Poffenroth and brother-in-law, Dwayne Rawluk. Bob was a man much loved by his family and friends and will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by many. A Memorial service for the late Robert Smitten will take place at the Gaetz Memorial United Church, 4758 Ross Street in Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Bob, memorial contributions may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services P.O. Box 193 Stettler, Alberta TOC 2LO who have been entrusted with the care and arrangements.
