Robert "Bob" Gibbon passed away in the Red Deer Regional Hospital, Thursday, October 15, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Bob was born on the family farm in the Ransom District, February 12, 1929, the youngest son of Olga and Albert Gibbon.He will be sadly missed by his special friend, Eleanor Denoncourt, and his children; Darrell of Innisfail, Allan and Wendy of Airdrie, Neil of Red Deer and Doris of Edmonton. As well as five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister Bernice and Harvey Warkentin of Red Deer, one brother-in-law, Ken Deems and sister-in-laws, Helen Gibbon of Legal and Wilda Gibbon of Stettler and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bob's life was held at the Eventide Funeral Chapel in Red Deer, October 24. Cremation was entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium.
