BIRDSELL – Robert Lynn "Birdie". Hey Dad, we sure had a great time last Monday (sorry the party interfered with your tee time) - all your favourite people were there! Donna, Jeff and Sherri, Jodie and Kevin and of course the grandkids you spoiled – Josh, Mya, Noah and Aliya. We told some stories about you growing up in Stettler, AB and about following a dream to make a living as a hockey player armed with a terrifying slap shot. We talked at length about raising a family in St. Albert, AB and watching them grow up nearby, about your passion for real estate and how you could see a renovation project and then turn it into something beautiful, with Mom’s help of course. You can bet we remembered your Mom (Mildred) and Dad (Stewart) and your brothers and sister, Keith, Russell, Gillis and Joyce, who’d gone on ahead to start the card game. We did our best to help Judy and Joanne remember all the great times we had, and the courage and humour and dignity that helped you fight cancer these last few months. But mostly, we told stories about you, and some were true – you’d have loved it! It was Monday at 10 a.m. at the St. Albert United Church. Your friends and the people you loved the most were there.
