October 5, 1975 - October 19, 2019
Rhea Ann O'Hara (Masse), age 44, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love at home on Saturday, October 19, 2019. She was born October 5, 1975, in Saskatoon SK to Al and Kathy Masse. She lived her younger years in Hafford, Sk and eventually the family landed in Stettler. She graduated from WmE Hay High School in 1993 and moved onto Red Deer College from there. Rhea had a passion for working with children and youth with disabilities. She graduated from the Rehabilitation Services program at RDC in 1996. She spent the next several years working with The Action Group and then with Sylvan Lake Kinder Care School. When the time arrived, she became a dedicated stay at home mom. Rhea married Shawn in 2001 and they welcomed Lukin, 2012, and Nevin, 2015 with open loving arms. She loved her family and the quality time they shared, playing, boating, at the cabin, family movie nights... Rhea was passionate about music and attended many live concerts with Shawn and friends. She also had many talents such as knitting, quilting, photography and Sign Language to name a few. She made many friends through all of these endeavours. Her battle with Cancer began 3 1/2 years ago and it was a brave fight. Through many difficult parts of the journey she was never without love and support from family, friends and the community. Her light will shine on forever through the people she so strongly connected to.
