LUTZ

Reynie

Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and "man about town" Reynold (Reynie) John Lutz passed away suddenly at his farm east of Innisfail on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the age of 72 years. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his loving wife of 35 years Barbara Lutz (nee Simon), his daughters Pam Amulaku and Karen Lutz, sons-in-law Eric Amulaku and Maluk Ayom Kok and grandson Galaxia Fitchett-Kok. He also leaves to mourn brother Fred Lutz and family (Robin, Kirby, Bryden, Brodie), sisters Elsie Zimmerman and family (Rosemarie, Ken, Clarice, Robert, Edward, Caryn, Ashley, Nicolas, Christine, Mandy, Stacy, Bev, Sherry, Teresa, Carl, John, David, Trey), Emma Christman and family (Val, Rob, Tyler, Carla, Calvin, Earl, Joy, Bonnie, Andrew, Danny, Dionne, Cassie, Colin, Kyle), Lydia Stokes and family (Gina, Donna, Josh, Emma, Jim), Maggie Seitz and family (Bob, Hoyt, Shannon, Kyle, Louisa, Dawn, Wendell, Mindy, Kimberly, Tony, Shauna, Ethan, Brooklyn, Gavin), Martha Lutz and family (David, Alfred), Rose Wymenga and family (Dick, Krystal, Dallas, Peggy, Harmon, Jacob, Travis), and brother-in-law Alvin Robinson and family (Kathy). He will also be missed by brother-in-law Jack Simon and family (Elaine, Jackie, Jez, Simon, Ben, Jeff, Tricia, Sidney, Neil, Megan), sisters-in-law Judy Lackey (Mark, Pam, Oliver), Patricia de Witt and family (Chip, Chris), June Taskey and family (Rick, Erin, Heather) and Joyce Garneau and family (Bob, Mathieu, Stephan), as well as numerous other relatives and countless friends. Reynie was predeceased by his parents John and Caroline Lutz, sister Alma Robinson, and nephew Rob Robinson. Known for his warm smile, easygoing nature, genuine personality, and suffocating bear hugs, there was nothing Reynie enjoyed more than sharing jokes and conversation over endless cups of coffee with his family, friends and neighbours. He was also an avid golfer, hockey fan, snowbird, and Rotarian. He farmed for over fifty years alongside his brother and best friend Fred. Reynie was also a devoted husband and father who would quite literally do anything for his family. A celebration of Reynie's life was held at the Innisfail United Church on Monday, April 9th 2012 at 2:00 pm, followed by a luncheon at the Innisfail Legion Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Helping Youth Through Educational Scholarships (HYTES), the Innisfail Rotary Club's special projects fund, or a charitable organization of the donor's choice.
