Mrs. Phyllis Eileen Ball a long time resident of Stettler, passed away at the Pine Ridge Long Term Care Unit on March 21, 2011 at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her loving son Fred (Bev) Ball of Erskine, daughter Lesley (Josh) Mundorf of Stettler; grandchildren Ian (TerriLynn) Mundorf of Red Deer, Kelly (Wilson) Merry of Stettler, James Ball and David Matthews both of Ottawa. Great grandchildren Aiden Merry, Stella and Annabella Ball, nieces Norma DePledge and Jillian Armstrong both of Victoria, BC. Phyllis was born in London, England and immigrated to Canada in 1967 with her husband Cyril and their family. For 27 years she proudly worked as a nursing aide at the long term care facility in Stettler, finally retiring at the age of 72. Phyllis and her beloved husband Cyril were loyal Legion Members, they loved to dance and were a joy to watch. In her later years, Phyllis loved to play bingo, watch musicals and spend time with her children and grandchildren. A private funeral service was held at the Lake View Cemetery where Phyllis was laid to rest on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with her beloved husband Cyril and her parents Frederick and Fanny. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Phyllis, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services P.O.
