Peter Robert Lee
1933-2011
Peter Taggart passed away suddenly on July 20, 2011 at age 77. He was born December 3, 1933 in Gadsby, AB. He was a farmer in Gadsby and then moved to Stettler, AB. He worked at Wootten Tire and then for the Town of Stettler. He was a Sanitation Engineer (both truck and landfill) before retiring in 1993. During this time, he married Florence Frieda Trettin (nee Gustafson) in 1976 and adopted her two children. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Florence and his step-children, Donna and Douglas (with friend Brittany Lindsay). He is also survived by two sisters Isobel (Ernest) Miller and Barbara (Len) Gurney as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother (Peter Milo and Gladys), his sisters Ina, Hulda, Louanna and May, his brother Ted and a few nieces and nephews. A coffee memorial will be held on August 2 at 2 p.m. at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church's education wing in Stettler. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association in memory of Peter Taggart.
