May 28, 1951 - Dec 29, 2017
The story of Pamela Rae Blake began on May 28, 1951 in Camrose, Alberta where she entered the world as the second born daughter of Boyd and Fay Lindberg, following sister Penny, and preceding little brother Kevin. Together, along with their many cousins (from the Lindholm, Frisken, and Lindberg clans) and dear family friends, they tell grand tales of back yard adventures, reunions, games and pranks indicative of lives well lived! Pam was rambunctious, a bit of a rebel, and yet always knew the importance of faith, family, pride and service.

Pam met a young man from Ontario, who was just travelling through. But all plans changed when Owen and Pam were married on September 24, 1971 and they headed south to Stettler, Alberta, where they continued to live, thrive and actively participate throughout the remainder of their lives.

To their union, three children were born and Pam's dedication as a mother to not only her own children but to the youth of the area was extremely evident. She was a Sunday School teacher, youth mentor, CGIT leader, tutor, storyteller, camp cook and coordinator, sports cheer leader, Grandma and babysitter, fortune teller and cackling witch...who only used her powers for good!

Pam loved the water, whether in the confines of the local recreation center or along the shores of many lakes and tropical locales, shared with some of her very dearest friends. And she loved the town she called home, where she and her family dedicated many hours to countless organizations over the years.

Her brave and peaceful struggle with Cancer took its toll on her body, but never once dampened her indomitable spirit, and her home and hospital room were often filled with peals of laughter, spilling out into the world surrounding her.

Her passing on December 29, 2017 leaves behind her children: Kimberley (Patrick) Smyth of Stettler, Amber (James) Fitchett of Calgary, and Kirk (Tera) Blake of Stettler, her 11 grandchildren: Evan, Ashley, Jordan (Sam), Cooper, Derek (Jesse), Noah (Kaitlyn), Evelynn, Connor, Elijah, Cohen, and Leo, and great-grandson Mason, sister Penny (Bob) Obenauer of Sherwood Park, brother Kevin (Mim) Lindberg of Camrose, brothers-in-law: Elwood (Jill) Blake of Collingwood, ON, Glen Blake of Neustadt, ON, and sisters-in-law Meredith Philp of Guelph, ON and Nadine Bax (David) of Kingston, ON, a host of delightful nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins as well as many dear friends.

Pam was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Owen Blake, parents, Boyd and Fay Lindberg and parents-in-law, Rothwell and Amanda Blake.

As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Pam, memorial contributions may be made to the Stettler Health Services Foundation-Palliative Care or the ALS Society.
