It is with deep sorrow we must say goodbye to Norma Doreen Brown a loving mother, grandmother and a great friend. Norma passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospital after a lengthy battle with COPDon December 31, 2011 at the age of 73 years. Norma leaves four sons; Cameron (Margaret), Garry (Teresa), Scot (Delamae) and Lyle and five grand-children; Gregory, Cameron (Karina), Jaclyn, Thomas and Brooklyn. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Brown; mother and father, Margaret and Chester Gunderson; a sister, Shirley (Smith) and brother, Clifford. Norma worked on the family farm north of Erskine with her husband Lenny, then at Lou’s Fashion in Stettler and Hopkins Construction in Lacombe before retiring in Innisfail. After retiring she became a very active volunteer in the Innisfail community and was honored to be recognized with awards in 2001 for her service. Norma routinely offered her time to many organizations, groups and individuals. Norma touched and inspired many people in her life and leaves her family with many fond memories which will be cherished for life. At Norma’s request no funeral services will be held. A tea to celebrate her life will be held in Innisfail in a few weeks. Norma will be interred at the Erskine Cemetery with her husband.
