Mrs. Merle Annette Rowland of Red Deer, Alberta passed away August 5, 2016 at the Red Deer Hospice at the age of 61 years. Merle was born February 14, 1955 in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan to parents Luella and Belford Rushka. Merle is survived by her husband Mitch Rowland; daughters Jessica (Jason) Lueck and Brianne Rowland; her brother Blair (Michelle) Rushka and sisters Carol (Terry) Haug and Janet Rushka; other relatives and many dear friends. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 6 MacMillan Ave, Red Deer, Alberta.
