Martin (Marty) Russell Dean, resident of Slave Lake, Alberta, previously of Beaverlodge, Alberta, originally of Stettler, Alberta, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 7, 2022, at the age of 57.
Marty is survived by his mother Belinda (Linda); his wife, Bev Dean (nee Cameron); his children, Staci Jayne, Jessye Paige, and Keisha Rae Dean; his sister Nancy Kernahan and her husband Tom; sister Amanda McLeod and her husband John; his sister-in-law Belinda (Lee) Dean and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Norman Dean, and his brother, Bruce Dean.
Marty was born in Stettler, Alberta on September 18, 1964, to Norman and Linda (nee Martin) Dean. In the spring of 1987, while working in Provost, Alberta Marty met his future wife Bev and they were married on January 27, 1996, in Slave Lake, Alberta. On February 26, 1999, October 23, 2001, and December 14, 2006, respectively, he welcomed his three beautiful daughters into the world, who were his greatest pride and joy.
Marty was a devoted father and loved nothing more than spending time with his girls and was so proud of them and who they were becoming as they grew up.
Marty was an avid amateur woodworker and was most often found tinkering in the garage making something. He also enjoyed taking his brother Bruce's 1984 Camero out for drives, going for walks, camping, and spending time around a campfire, he especially loved this if the girls came with him. He is deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday April 23, 2022, at Christ-King Catholic Church in Stettler, Alberta.
