Lottie Alberta Arnold passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Pine Ridge Nursing Home, Stettler, Alberta. Lottie was born at Erskine, Alberta on July 7, 1914. She was united in marriage to Ches Arnold on June 23, 1940. She resided in Stettler from 1947 until her passing. She was predeceased by her husband Ches in January 1967. She leaves her loving daughters and their husbands: Louella and Clifford Strandquist of Stettler, Sharron and Jerry Brittain of Stettler, Judy and Doug Brilz of Stettler and Darla and Greg Remple of Grande Prairie. She is survived by one of eight siblings, her youngest sister, Victoria Schaffer of Medicine Hat. She also leaves 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She will be forever loved and missed by her family, friends and everyone who touched her life. Funeral services were held on October 18, 2010 at the Heartland Chapel of Stettler Funeral Home, with Rev. Susan Bowyer officiating. Doug McKay played for the congregational hymns “Amazing Grace,” “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art.” The eulogy was presented by Greg Remple. Lottie was laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery beside her husband Ches, with her Grandsons: Calvin Strandquist, Brad Strandquist, Vince Peterson, Mike Brittain, Steven Brilz, David Brilz, Tim Skene and Jason Skene serving as Pallbearers. The family of Lottie Arnold would like to thank the nursing staff, doctors and the kitchen staff that cared for her at the Pine Ridge Lodge, her final home.
