COLEMAN, Loralea

Loralea passed away May 10, 2017 following a brief struggle with cancer. Loralea was born May 6, 1960 in Stettler, AB to Gilbert and Yvonne Coleman, one of eight children. She is survived by her mother, Yvonne Coleman, sisters Daphne (Terry) Ziegler, Beverly Parry, Valerie (James) Mayer, brothers Rodney (Shirley) Coleman, Geoffrey (Sandra) Coleman, Bradley Coleman, numerous nieces, nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews, as well as additional relatives and friends.

Lori was predeceased by her father Gilbert, brother Gregory, great-nephew Tyler Strandquist and brother-in-law David Parry as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents.

She attended Gadsby School and in 1979 graduated from Wm. E. Hay Composite High School in Stettler. She was active in the Westwood Sunday School and a member of the Gadsby United Church Junior Choir. Lori was also a member of the Gadsby 4-H and more recently Gadsby Heritage Place. She enjoyed playing on the family "ball team" and floor curling with Mom. Following her graduation Lori completed a hair dressing course but remained on the farm. After her Father's passing Lori moved to Stettler where she was employed in the food industry. She was enjoying an increased sense of independence and adventure prior to her passing.

Lori will be remembered as a gentle soul with a wry sense of humor and an infectious giggle. She had a special affinity with her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and was just getting to know her great-great niece and two great-great nephews. She was everyone's babysitter/caregiver of choice, parents and children alike. She enjoyed playing cards, games of chance and was always ready for a challenge.

At Lori's request there will be no service.
