Lois Margaret Turville passed away peacefully on October 4, 2020 at the age of eighty-four years. Lois was born on Feb 23, 1936 in Big Valley, the only daughter of Bill & Marjorie Johnston.
She attended Adshead and Vimy Hills Schools, graduated from high school in Big Valley and later graduated from the University of Alberta as a teacher. Along with her husband Harlen she was a farmer and businessperson in the Stettler and Big Valley area her entire life.
Lois is survived by her children: Laura (Lee) Brown, Ann (Les) Muhlbach and Bill (Brenda) Turville; grandchildren: Trish (Tim) Henderson, Jackie (Kerry) Freeman, Karen (David) Zimmerman, Rob (Alina) Turville, Rich (Natalie) Turville and Patrick (Emma) Turville; great grandchildren: Luke, Wynne, Elliot, Alivia, Alexia, Anika, Russell, Ruby, Jake, Lucas, Serena, Jocelyn and Alyssa; brother Doug Johnston; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Lois is predeceased by husband and partner Harlen; grandson John Muhlbach; parents Bill and Marjorie Johnston; brother Robert Johnston; sister-in-law Marilyn Johnston and mother-in-law Viola Turville.
A graveside service was held at the Lake View Cemetery, Stettler, AB with Rev. Barbara Lieurance officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Gordie Howe Centre for Alzheimers Research and Education Foundation.
