April 28, 2019
Linda Lorraine Moore passed away at her residence in Red Deer, Alberta on April 28, 2019 at the age of 72.

She was born to the late Bob and Lorraine Moore in Stettler, Alberta. The eldest of four and the only girl growing up during a simpler time when raiding gardens and joyriding in vehicles was normal, harmless, teenage behaviour.

Linda married George Pedersen in 1967. They started their family in Edmonton and relocated to the Beaverlodge area in the 1980's. Linda stayed in the Peace Country for some time after her children grew up and moved away, but her fond memories and connection to the Stettler area drew her back.

She is survived by her daughter Selena (Kevin) Sliger, their children Alexandra and Dominic; her grandson Skyler Pedersen; brothers Bill (Peggy), Glenn (Crystal), and Craig (Terry); special nephews and great- nieces and nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. Linda was predeceased by her son Derek Pedersen in 2016.

A woman who enjoyed competition and had a quick wit, she loved to play games; a favourite was Trivial Pursuit. A voracious reader with a creative side, she loved to write and had a few articles and short stories published over the years. She volunteered with a variety of local organizations and enjoyed lending a hand, even helping out at the local hospital gift shop while also being a patient. Linda was a fighter. She encountered a variety of health issues over the years that led to many changes, but she never let them win or keep her down. She always bounced back; stronger at the places that were broken; ever resilient. A testament to the tenacity of the human spirit.

Interment will be at the Botha Cemetery May 7 at 1 pm followed by refreshments at the Botha Senior Centre from 2 - 4 pm.
