McNAUGHTON
Laura Anne
Anne went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 30, 2009 at the age of 92. She was born in Stettler in 1917 to Rufus and Laura Thomas, along with three brothers and two sisters. Anne married Albert McNaughton on January 28, 1941 they farmed in the Rumsey area until their retirement which they spent between their Rumsey and Arizona homes, enjoying their time each year with family and friends. In 1991 they moved to the Foothills Lodge in Sundre, Alberta where they made many new friends and were involved in all the activities of the lodge. Albert passed away in 1995 but Anne remained at the lodge until her passing. Anne was predeceased by her husband, both her parents, two brothers; Ed and Ralph Thomas and one sister; Irene Hautzinger along with one granddaughter; Jodi Seibel. Anne is survived by one sister Olive (Jimmy) Thompson of Red Deer, one brother Bud (Bernice) Thomas of Pincher Creek, and one sister-in-law Abbie McNaughton of Drumheller. She will be sadly missed by her children; Laverne (Nancy), Lorne, Melvin (Dariel), Marion (Marvin), Elaine (Dan), along with 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life was held Saturday, December 5, 2009 at The Rumsey Community Hall at 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Anne may be directed to The STARS Foundation, 1441 Aviation Park N.E.
