GUTHRO – Kenneth Roy, better known as Sonny, beloved husband of Sandra Guthro of Innisfail, AB, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Feb. 14, 2009 at the age of 71 years. Sonny was survived by his six children, Carole (Norman) MacGregor of Innisfail, Randall Guthro of Edmonton, AB, Glenn (Denise) Guthro of Innisfail, Sandi (Scott) Kruk of Erskine, AB, Kenneth Guthro of Innisfail and Mary Sabbe of Blackfalds, AB, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandhildren. Sonny was born in New Glasgow, NS and was predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary Guthro, brother Peter Guthro, and brothers-in-law Buddy Fiet, Sandy Carrigan, and Brent Cameron and in-laws George and Willena Johnson. Sonny was an avid Fisherman and Hunter. He loved to go on many outdoor trips with family and friends. Throughout his life Sonny worked many different jobs including the Canadian Armed Forces. In 1983, Sonny and his family moved to Stettler, AB where he worked in the oilfield, he moved to Guelph, ON in 1987 and worked and retired as a sheet metal worker. In 1991 he moved back to Alberta and finally settled in Innisfail. He will be missed but never forgotten. Sonny was laid to rest on Feb. 19, 2009 in Innisfail.
