GREEN
It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth "EDDY" Green announces his passing on June 19, 2011 at the age of 75 years. Eddy was born January 15, 1936 at the Stettler Hospital. He attended school for seven years at the Buena Vista School and then continued grades 8-9 in Meeting Creek. Eddy married Vera Martyniuk in the spring of 1962 and followed in his father's and grandfather's footsteps and took over the family farm just west of Donalda. He and Vera resided there until they sold the farm and retired to Stettler in 1997 and this was his home until his passing. Eddy will be sadly missed by his loving wife Vera of 49 years; his three children Doug (Wendy), Debbie (Calvin) and Murray (Anita); four grandchildren Meagyn Green, Chelsey (Cody) Rowledge, Damen (Morgan) Hiller and Alexi Hiller; his sisters Jean Lindstrom and Isabel Kerl; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of good friends. Eddy was predeceased by his mother and father Bessie and Harry Green, brothers-in-law Fred Lindstrom, George Kerl and Mike Osatiuk, and sister-in-law Ramona Osatiuk. A celebration of life for the late Mr. Eddy Green was held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the Stettler United Church, Stettler, Alberta with Reverend Susan Bowyer officiating. A loving tribute to her grandfather was given by Eddy's granddaughter Chelsey Rowledge. Memories in picture were presented by Eddy's grandchildren with a DVD slideshow. Family friend Jack Rairdan shared his remembrances of his good friend. Musician Cheryl Bergstrom accompanied the congregational hymn "In The Garden" and Alec Salmon Band played some old time favorites. Eddy was laid to rest in Donalda Cemetery, Donalda, Alberta.
